Aisha
Buhari may
be the First Lady and one of the most influential women in Nigeria, but she
still loves cooking for her husband.
During an Eid-ul-Fitr
celebration for children at the Banquet Hall of the presidential villa,
Mrs Buhari revealed that she had to leave early because of her wifely duties.
“I’m going to leave you soon. I want to go
back home to cook for my husband because my children are here playing with you.
Nobody is at home, only my husband. So, I want to go back home to be with him
and also cook dinner for him”, the president’s wife said.
Mrs Buhari explained that the aim of
the celebration was to promote love and good relations among the children.
“On occasions like this, we
celebrate with Nigerian children, especially the less privileged, including
those in the various internally displaced persons’ (IDPs) camp. We love,
appreciate and share with their present situation.”
“The reason for this is to
promote warm interaction and sharing what we have with one another. On this
note particularly, we decided to celebrate with all children from different
background”.
