Gervinho and four of his
teammates where denied entry into Indonesia as part of AS Roma’s contingent to
tour the country and had to be sent home by the Italian club
Gervinho, Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo, Adem Ljajic
and Antonio Sanabria were part of the Roma team that landed in Indonesia but
the club were delayed by the country’s immigrations officers and the five
players were denied entry into the country as the officials told the Roma
contingent that the players did not have sufficient documentation to enter the
country. Roma had to put the players on a plane back to Rome, thereby
concluding their pre-season campaign. AS Roma are still scheduled to continue
their tour of Indonesia and play two matches but the club’s CEO told reporters
that they were disappointed at not having the full team in Indonesia
Roma are scheduled to be part of the AS Roma Indonesia
day and play two matches in the country before jetting out to conclude their
pre-season preparations
