
Manchester City have revealed
their latest signing, Fulham youngster Patrick Roberts.
The club has set about on a signing spree for England players,
and have already signed England internationals Fabian Delph and Raheem
Sterling.
The deal for Roberts reportedly
sees City pay £5 million up front, with a further £6 million in
add-ons.
Fulham manager Kit Symons had revealed
that it had been Roberts’ decision to leave.
“It’s very difficult,” Symons
said before the deal had been confirmed. “He’s handed in a transfer request now
and he’s only got one year left on his contract.”
“It’s a shame to lose one of our
bright young talents but I need to have people that are committed and want to
play for the football club.”
