A prosecutor has revealed that an
autopsy on Sandra
Bland’s body
revealed she committed suicide.
The prosecutor, Warren Diepraam, also revealed
that the autopsy stated that she’d ingested a large amount of marijuana.
Bland, 28, had been jailed after being stopped by
a Texas Highway Patrol trooper for allegedly failing to signal a lane change.
Diepraam added that the autopsy
showed no signs of a struggle or violence.
“At this particular time, I have not seen any evidence
that this is a homicide,” Diepraam said.
“There were no bite marks or other injuries on her
face, on her lips, on her tongue, which would be consistent with a violent
struggle,” he said.
