
UEFA president Michel Platini has
been asked by the ‘majority’ of word football leaders to run for the FIFA
presidency.
Platini received support during late-night talks in a
Zurich hotel on Sunday night.
Frenchman Platini has yet to decide whether to run for
presidency.
Platini would receive at least 115 votes, should he
decide to stand.
A winning president needs 105 votes out of 209
associations.
Blatter is expected to hold a news conference at
1pm.
