They are persistent and that’s
one of the reasons they are champions. Chelsea have had two bids rejected by
Everton for young center back, John Stones but that has not deterred them in
their quest to sign the 21 year old.
Chelsea have been chasing the England under-21
international all summer and Everton have been trying to get the best deal
possible from Chelsea for him as they ought to have already given up hope of
keeping him. Chelsea had an initial bid of 25 million pounds rejected and
returned last week with a bid of 28 million pounds. That bid was also rejected
within 48 hours as Everton were looking to seal the deal for at least 30
million pounds. Mourinho must be desperate to sign Stones as Chelsea have moved
to match Everton’s valuation of Stones at 30 million pounds as the champions
prepare a third bid for the defender.
30 million pounds might just be enough to bring
Everton to the negotiation table and other interested parties have to move
quickly or stand the risk of losing the man described as he next John Terry.
