Considered to be one of the most
successful music act in Africa, 2face Idibia has revealed why artistes’
success are not usually sustained in the Nigerian music industry.
The African Queen hit-maker cited
the “I don arrive” syndrome as the major cause of the fail, as most artistes
get carried away with the initial fame and attention they get and forget that
to sustain that success they have to keep working hard.
“I think it’s the I don arrive syndrome that affects artistes who
fall along the way. That thing is a major factor. Most times if you check it,
it is that syndrome of I have arrived and we have to keep doing it this way,
forgetting that you have to keep working on yourself,” the father-0f-six said in an interview with Vanguard.
