Real Madrid sealed their ticket to the final of the Audi cup as Bale and James Rodriguez handed the 10 time European champions a 2-0 win in Munich.
It was a very open game as both sides looked to break with speed and cut their opponents out. Real Madrid who were without Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema created some good chances as did Tottenham but in the 37th minute, Real Madrid made the breakthrough as Isco picked out James Rodriguez with a delightful cross and the Colombian headed home from six yards. The second half proceeded just like the first but a mistake in defence by Tottenham allowed Bale to steal the ball and run at the Spurs defense before unleashing a powerful drive that flew past Michel Vorm in the Spurs goal and sealed victory for his new side over the old employers.
Real Madrid now have a final date with one of their biggest footballing rivals, Bayern Munich and thie manager who is also not a loved figure around the Bernabaeu, Josep Guadiorla
