Meet The New NNPC Boss, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu

Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu has been appointed officially as the new head of  Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
He’ll take over  from  Joseph Darwa who was earlier sacked by the President Muhammadu Buhari.

Here are some notable things you should know about the new GMD of NNPC:
1) He hails from Onicha Ugbo, in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State.
2) He is 58 years old.
3) He is a first class graduate of Law, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the Nigerian Law School.
4) He is an author of three legal books as well as the publisher of the popular Hints and Chanelle magazines.
5) His country home is one of the most beautiful and costliest in his homestead. It’s called Eden Retreat.
6) Respected writers like Toni Kan, Reuben Abati, Kayode Ajala, etc cut their teeth writing for his publications.
7) He last worked for Exxon Mobil as Vice Chairman and General Counsel. But before that, he was with the Nigerian/American Merchant Bank and Texaco.
8) He has a Masters and Doctorate in Law from Harvard Law School, USA and graduated with distinctions.
9) He has lectured in Nigeria, at Harvard and various Institutions around the world as either a visiting lecturer or professor in Law.
10)  In his capacity as the Vice Chairman and General Counsel of Exxon Mobil in Nigeria, he oversees the Compliance programs ofExxonMobil in Nigeria and advices on issues related to adherence with compliance regulations and Anti-Corruption Laws for the Company in Africa.
