The ranking is released by
Control Risk, a UK-headquartered consultancy organisation that
specialises in political, security and integrity risk. Operating from 36
offices, the company’s primary services include anti-corruption audits,
consultancy and training, eDiscovery, political risk analysis and a broad range
of security and crisis management support.
In this abduction report, Mexico ranks the highest in the
world, while India comes second. For countries surrounding India, like
Afghanistan and Pakistan, the risk is not lessened. It only means that
kidnapping complaints are higher in India.
Let it be noted
that earlier this year, Nigeria ranked as the second most dangerous country to
live in, after Iraq.
