Pennetta wins US Open
Flavia Pennetta has won the 2015
US Open after beating Roberta Vinci in the final.
The title is Pennetta’s first ever Grand Slam, making her the
second Italian woman ever to win a tennis major.
Pennetta had beaten world number 2 Simona Halep to
reach the finals, while Vinci had shockedSerena Williams to book
her final place.
