Football clubs are not the only sporting entities helping out
refugees in the world. British tennis star and ATP number 3 tennis player in
the world, Andy Murray has decided to do his bit to help refugees across the
world.
Andy
Murray has told the world that from now until the end of the year, he will
donate 50 pounds for every ace he serves to UNICEF as they look to help
refugees around the globe. Andy Murray who lost to Kevin Anderson in the 4th round of the US Open is looking to
bounce back as soon as possible and would definitely be loved by fans for his
generous gesture. “I’ll get that little bit more satisfaction from each ace I
hit knowing that it will be helping Unicef keep children safe. Murray told
reporters earlier today. “I’m also asking my fans across the world to join with
me to and support Unicef’s vital work. Together we can help make a safer world
for every child.”
Standard
life, Murray’s sponsors have decided to match the British number one player
pound for pound and so have the ATP and LTP meaning that every ace that Andy
Murray serves is until the 31st of January is going to be worth 200
pounds.
It
helps that the ATP tour continues with 14 tour matches and 3 masters series as
well as Davis Cup semifinal and final. We will be hoping that Murray serves a
lot of aces at these tournaments
