Seven FIFA officials were arrested in May by Swiss police in Zurich, and “no individual is above the law,” according to US prosecutor Loretta Lynch.
Lynch added that she was hopeful that the arrested officials would be extradited to the US for trials.
Lynch was speaking at a joint news conference for US and Swiss attorney generals, where they stated that huge volumes of data had been gathered.
Properties in the Alps, as well as some other financial assets had been seized, according to Swiss Attorney General Michael Lauber.
Lauber also added that as many as 121 bank accounts were under scrutiny.
