Nation will take this revelation. Van Gaal has revealed that the EPL will not
come to Old Trafford this season, but vows to beat Liverpool.
Manchester United have taken seven points from four
EPL matches, despite spending over £100 million over the summer in bringing
Martial, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Depay.
Despite the additions to the squad, Van Gaal is
pessimistic and doesn’t see United winning the EPL.
“No, maybe third or second place is realistic but I
expect us to go for it next season,” he said when asked whether United would
win the title at a Q&A session for season ticket holders.
He added on their defeat to Swansea City last time
out: “I am sorry, the defeat, was my fault. Don’t worry, we will win on
Saturday [against Liverpool].”
