Buhari Approves Appointment Of Bukar-Abba As Acting Chairman Of FCC

President Muhammadu Buhari has ratified the nomination of Dr Shettima Bukar-Abba as the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

This disclosure was made known to NAN on Wednesday, January 13, in Abuja by Mr Chucks Okoli, the Deputy Director, Planning and Strategy of the commission.

Bukar-Abba was appointed following the demise of Alhaji Muhammad Bello Alkali, the former Executive Chairman of the Commission, last Friday.

Okoli said that until his appointment on Monday, Bukar-Abba, a seasoned civil servant, was the Federal Commissioner representing Borno State in the commission.

He said that the Acting Executive Chairman, who was also a two time Secretary to the Borno State Government, had assumed duty.
