How Assassins Went After Daddy Showkey And Shot Him

Nigerian dancehall veteran Daddy Showkey has disclosed that there was once an assassination attempt on his life. Luckily, he escaped alive.

Speaking to Hip TV, he narrated the ordeal saying he had gone overseas for some treatment on his spinal cord only to return and be faced with the ordeal of an assassination attempt.

He said: “After I returned, I had to go back again for further treatment. As soon as I fully recovered and was ready to hit the music scene again, assassins were after me.”

He explained that they came straight away to his house to murder him but got another person instead as he was not available.

Not satisfied, they trailed him to a fuel station and still tried to take away his life but it was an unsuccessful attempt.

“They came to my house to kill me but met my absence and ended up killing another person.

“As if that wasn’t enough, they still trailed me to a fuel station and shot me. So you see, it has been from one battle to another, but I’m fully back to take over the center stage,” he said.

The Diana singer  has made several efforts towards returning into mainstream music and the prominence he once enjoyed as a musician.

In 2015, he was at the annual Felabration concert and gave an interesting performance on stage.
