No Nigerian will be made to pay for darkness under the guise of electricity increment, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has insisted.

NLC said the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) should not even contemplate negotiating for the tariff increment but that they should reverse it forthwith.
NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba in a statement also commended Nigerians for standing with the organized labour on the struggle against anti people policies by government.
Wabba further said that organised labour is resolute in its mandates to defending Nigerian workers and the generality of Nigerians against oppression.
"We wish to, in particular, commend our civil society allies who stood firmly with organized labour through the planning and execution of the February rally. We thank Nigerians from all walks of life who saw the wisdom of our action and identified with the campaign” the statement added.
