Suspected Fulani herdsmen kill more farmers in Benue



Rampaging Fulani herdsmen yesterday caused more havoc by killing two Tiv farmers, Sam Wayo and his brother Msugh, in Akombo Gambetiev, Logo Local Government of Benue State.
Sam is a school supervisor with the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) in Logo.

According to a community leader, Chief Joseph Anawah, the brothers were killed on their way to farm. He said the herdsmen hid inside a church, and on sighting the brothers, opened fire. They died on the spot.
The elder Wayo was due for retirement this month. Their bodies have been deposited at NKST Hospital, Anyiin.
Police spokesman Moses Yamu said he was yet to get in touch with the Divisional Police Officer in Ugba, Logo.
