The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, on Tuesday announced
that Gernot Rohr has signed a two-year contract to be the Technical Adviser of
Nigeria's Super Eagles.

- He was born on June 28, 1953 (age 63). He is from Mannheim,
Germany.
- He played as a defender for Bayern Munich in 1972 - 74 (6
appearances), SV WaldhofMannheim from 1974-75 (21 apps), Kickers Offenbach
from 1975-77 (62 apps), and Bordeaux 1977-89 (352 apps)
- He was sports director of Eintracht Frankfurt from October
1998 until April 1999
- He managed Bordeaux From 1990 to 1999 where he almost won the
UEFA cup (lost to Bayern in Final)
- Between 2002 to 2009 he managed a number of teams - Creteil,
Nice, Young Boys, Ajaccio, Etoile Sahel, and Nantes.
- He replaced Alain Giresse as coach of the Gabon national
