Queen of Katwe’ is a 2016 American
biographical sports drama film and it depicts the life of Phiona Mutesi, a
Ugandan chess prodigy from Katwe who becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her
performances at World Chess Olympiads.
This is a major achievement for Nigerian music stars MC Galaxy and Davido! Their songs, “Sekem” and “Skelewu” have both been featured in Disney movie “Queen of Katwe” starring Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo.
