Manchester City are preparing to step up their interest in
Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Daily Mail.
City have been impressed with the 16-year-old’s development at
Craven Cottage this season and are looking to beat Arsenal, Liverpool and
Manchester United to the promising left-back.
Arsenal had a £3m offer rejected in January.
Sessegnon could follow in the footsteps of Patrick Roberts in
making the move as a promising youngster from Fulham to City.
Roberts has since been loaned out but showed his quality against
his parent club with a goal for Celtic at Etihad Stadium in the Champions
League.
Sessegnon is still very green but has impressed so far this
term, scoring twice in six appearances in the Championship.
The 16-year-old boasts an 84 per cent passing accuracy and
despite his tender age, appears to have the technical attributes to succeed at
a higher level.
He may want to continue his development with Slavisa Jokanovic’s
side who lie in tenth and are a team on the up after their most recent 5-0
thumping of Reading.
