Angel Di Maria’s Manchester United exit seems to be near after manager Louis Van Gaaladmitted he had
no idea why he was absent.
Reports from France have suggested both teams have
agreed a £46.5 million fee for the Argentine winger.
“He was not on the plane,” said Van Gaal after the 3-1
friendly win over Barcelona in Santa Clara, California.
“Marcos Rojo was also not on the plane. He has had a
passport issue – for Angel Di Maria, I don’t know why. I cannot say anything.”
Van Gaal had previously said Di Maria would join the
team, but it now seems his exit is all but sure.
