Fabrizio Coloccini’s Newcastle
future has been in doubt for quite a while as the Argentine who is reportedly
fit has not played throughout Newcastle’s pre-season.
Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing the
tough tackling defender as Alan Pardew is keen on linking up with the 33 year
old who was at the heart of Newcastle United’s defense during Pardew time at
Tynnside. Pardew is looking to make a move for Coloccini within the next few
weeks and Newcastle are reportedly ready to listen to offers for the defender
whose fitness has become an issue in the last two seasons. Coloccini is
reportedly open to a move away from Newcastle but would prefer to move back to
Argentina where he hopes to end his playing career.
Coloccini could cost Crystal Palace as much as 5
million pounds and that would be a very high fee for a 33 year old defender in
the fast paced Barclays Premier league
