fit into Van Gaal’s plans after being spending most of last season injured and
playing behind Valencia when fit, the arrival of Darmian simply sealed the fate
of the Brazilian who saw his brother depart the Old Trafford outfit three
seasons ago. Rafael would be joining Lyon on an initial loan with a permanent
move in view within the coming months.
Manchester United fans around the world would not be
too happy to see Rafael leave as his career promised very much but injuries
have kept the Brazilian from fulfilling his true potential
