Paris Saint Germain got their
season off to a good start with a 1-0 win over Losc Lille Metropollile despite
playing most of the match with 10 men
Di Maria watched from the stands as PSG took to the
field without Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is nursing an injury. The first notable
moment of the match came in the 29th minute
when Adrien Rabbiot was sent off for receiving a yellow card. The first half
was a stop-start affair with both teams content to foul each other. PSG showed
a little attacking intent in the second half and after brilliant work by
Matuidi and Cavani, Cavani released Lucas who rounded the goalkeeper and made
it 1-0. PSG showed excellence in defense to pick up all three points
PSG would be looking to successfully defend the ligue
1 trophy and Di Maria would have to wait for his debut
