According
to Spanish Radio station Cadena SER, Sergio Ramos is not close to extending his
contract at Real Madrid.
Recent
reports have claimed that the defender’s situation at Madrid was set to
be resolved following a showdown meeting with club president Florentino Perez
in China,
Both
Perez and Ramos are believed to have agreed to re-open contract talks but
according to Cadena SER, the Spain defender is concerned as Madrid have not
contacted his representative since the showdown in China.
In
addition, Ramos is still seeking a salary of €10m a season and will not sign on
again if the club offer him a new deal worth €8.5m a year.
