According
to recent reports in Spain, Portuguese striker and World Footballer Of The
Year, Cristiano Ronaldo does not have to worry about being dropped by Real
Madrid manager Rafa Benitez.
The headline on Spanish daily
AS on Wednesday translates as ‘Cristiano is the only one undisputed… and
the rest are good players.’
Cristiano
Ronaldo has scored eight goals in his last three matches after a slow start to
the season where he failed to score in Real Madrid’s first two La Liga matches.
According
to AS, Rafa Benitez said
‘I talk to Bale in English and
he understands what is needed to be competitive. This is a special group. They
know Cristiano gets 60 goals a season and that’s a bonus
‘Cristiano was the one who ran the most against Espanyol. He’ll
tire and he has to be managed. He’s fine today. Here there is only one
undisputed player and that’s Cristiano, the rest are good players.
‘I don’t favour anybody. It’s about helping someone score 60 goals
a season. Karim Benzema is scoring too. Above all the team has to be balanced.’
