Record Breaker: Rooney Becomes England’s Highest Goalscorer As England Beat Switzerland

Wayne Rooney has finally written his name in the history books, as he became England’s highest scoring senior player of all time in the 2-0 win over Switzerland.

Kane had only been on the pitch for seven minutes when the ball came to his feet and he sliced a shot past the Swiss goalkeeper into the back of the net to finally break the deadlock. In the 87^th minute, Rooney got his moment after Xhaka brought down Raheem Sterling in the box.
