Chelsea did not look the usual
organized Jose Mourinho team as a disjointed performance allowed Fiorentina to
steal a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge in the final International Champions Cup
game
Radamel Falcao was handed his first start and failed
to impress along with the rest of the team as the defense failed to show any
organization or composure and there was no real strategy in attack and everyone
was guilty of trying to do too much. Fiorentina made them pay in the 34thminute as Begovic parried
Alonso’s shot into the feet of Rodriguez who made no mistake, making it 1-0.
Chelsea are not ending their pre-season on a high but
would now turn their attention to West Brom who they open their premier league
defense against
